Goyt Valley - Saturday 29th May

14 miles and 2470 ft total ascent. It was a smashing day after a gloomy start, expertly led by Gordon, who even had the foresight to lay on an ice-cream van! And the finale of a pub visit…

This was a walk where three counties collide, featuring a varied landscape of rugged wild moorland and lush river valleys…

Starting from Derbyshire Bridge, then Axe Edge Moor onto Axe Edge. Then through 3 shires head on the Dane Valley Way onto Whetstone Ridge. The walk then passed over Stake side down to Errwood Reservoir, then along the Goyt Valley back to the car park
